  1. Please read our Rules and Regulations 2018 then download the appropriate syllabus.
  2. Please consult the  syllabus for class numbers (it’s a good idea to confirm these with your teacher) and read the Rules and Regulations document carefully before applying.
  3. Click on the appropriate link listed below, fill out your form(s) electronically, submit it/them, pay your fees and then send a copy of your Paypal receipt to the registrar at

There is no mail in, or in-person registration.


Use for all ensembles of 2 – 6 members not including the accompanist, if any.

Use for choir/band/speech arts/instrumental ensembles with more than 6 members.

It is YKMF that has the account.
You will be given the option to choose to pay into it either:

  1. By using your own Paypal account, if you have one, or,
  2. By using a credit card.

  This is how – after completing your registration form(s), pay on line by clicking on the Add To Cart button on the above listed Registration Pages.
You may view your cart at any time by returning to this page and clicking on the View Cart button below.
When you have filled your Paypal cart and are ready to pay, click on the View Cart button below, check that it is correct and complete, then choose to pay for your purchases.
You will be given the option to pay using a Paypal Account, or by using your Credit Card.
After you have paid, you will receive a receipt by email. Please forward a copy to the registrar to alert him/her that you have completed your registration(s) by making a payment.

To pay your fees by cash or cheque, please contact to arrange a time to deliver them.

Payment by email will not be accepted.

Receipts for cash/cheques will be issued only on request.  If you require a receipt please ask the Registrar when you pay, or ask for it to be emailed to you.
Paypal will automatically  email a receipt to you.

If you wish to be considered for recommendation by the Adjudicator of our local festival to compete in the Provincial Music Festival in Edmonton in May, consult your teacher to make sure your entry qualifies and/or go to the AMFA website to check on the syllabus and eligibility requirements.


Our festival depends entirely upon a small army of volunteers!

If you value the continued smooth running of the Yellowknife Music Festival, especially if you, or your child regularly take part in this Festival, please consider volunteering a little of your time to make this Festival a success. All participants are asked to help, or to sacrifice a friend or family member to our cause!
