How we began
The Yellowknife Music Festival was founded in 2009. It was through the support of the membership of Classics on Stage Yellowknife that the Festival came into being. We are pleased to announce that the Music Teachers Association-NWT has been our sole producer since 2017. As a member of the Alberta Music Festival Association we offer classes that will lead to performance opportunities at the Alberta Provincial Music Festival. Many thanks go to our sponsors: NWT Department of Education and Culture, Capital Suites, Yellowknife Education District No.1 and private donors for their support of our events.
Through the years, many have dedicated their time and energy to the success of the festival.

VACANCIES:
We are always interested in adding to our team to share many responsibilities, such as document maintenance, marketing, volunteering at the Festival and the Showcase Concert, and arranging or providing hospitality for the adjudicators.
